Play, a painting in the making accompanied by the sound of drums, is a work for the master’s degree of the author Maša Đuričić. Conjoining two different fields of artistic expression which in this instance create a whole, Maša and Dragoljub Đuričić are communicating with their audience. The music is a mediator between the viewer and the painting, and as a better interlocutor, in this case it embodies the painting and the process of its making, it interprets the painting and it gives its own observation about it.
Maša Đuričić
Maša Đuričić was born in Belgrade in 1979. She graduated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2003 in Professor Gordan Nikolić’s class. She is a student of interdisciplinary master studies of stage design at the University of Arts in Belgrade. She is a member of the Association of Serbian Fine-Art Artists since 2004.
She had three solo exhibitions (Gallery “Studentski grad”, Belgrade 2004; Gallery Zadužbina Ilije M. Kolarca, Belgrade 2005; Gallery ULUS, Belgrade 2009) and took part at eight group exhibitions (exhibition of drawings by the students of the Fine Arts Academy, Gallery FLU, Belgrade 2000; V exhibition of portraits, Gallery Cultural Centre “Vera Blagojević”, Šabac 2001; She took part in Sentandreja painters colony and exhibited her work at the group exhibition of the colony in 2003; exhibition of the new members of SEFAA, Art Pavilion “Cvjeta Zuzorić”, Belgrade 2004 and 2005; YU youth palette, Art gallery of Vrbas Cultural Centre 2004; Autumn exhibition 2005, Gallery Zadužbina Ilije M. Kolarca, Belgrade 2005; exhibition «Alef», National Gallery , Belgrade, November 2006).
